Someone in your church just asked for prayer.

She typed it into a group chat, because that is where everyone is. Fourteen people saw it. Two replied with a heart.

By Thursday it was under a parking notice, three photos of a birthday cake and a link to a podcast. Nobody meant to forget. The room just kept moving.

Friday came. No one asked her how it went.

“Bear one another's burdens, and so fulfill the law of Christ.”

You cannot carry what you cannot find. Ruth's burden was named out loud, in public, to fourteen people who wanted to help, and it was gone by morning. Nobody failed her. The tool did.

This is not a technology problem. It is a memory problem.

Every church, every small group, every team already has a community. It is simply spread across a chat app, a calendar invite, a spreadsheet of phone numbers, a printed sheet, and one person's head.

None of those things were built to remember. So the community keeps starting over, every week, from nothing. The loss is invisible, which is why it never gets fixed. No one files a complaint about the prayer that got buried, or the visitor who came once and could not work out how to come back.

The command assumes a door. Most people who stop assembling never decided to. They just could not find the way back in, and were too embarrassed to ask twice.

Where faith is actually lived

Sunday is not the problem. Wednesday is.

However long your church gathers, an hour, a morning, twice on Sunday and again midweek, it ends, and everyone drives home into the part of the week nobody has a plan for. That is where faith is actually carried: a Tuesday night, a hospital corridor, a desk on a bad Thursday, a kitchen table at 6am. It is where a community is most needed, and it is exactly where most of them go quiet.

“You shall teach them diligently to your children, and shall talk of them when you sit in your house, and when you walk by the way, and when you lie down, and when you rise.”

Sitting, walking, lying down, rising up. Not one of the four happens on a Sunday morning. The instruction was never about the gathering. It was about the ordinary week either side of it, and that is the only thing this app is trying to serve.

One place your community lives. And it remembers.

Christ Everywhere is free. Your community gets its own page on the web, with a link you can text to anyone. What's coming up, who's part of it, what people are asking prayer for, all in one place that keeps its memory between Sundays.

It is not another chat app to check. It is the place the chat app was never able to be. And if you never join a community at all, the Bible, the daily verse and the prayer wall are still yours.

Nothing is locked behind joining. Three things work the moment you open the app, so nobody is kept waiting at a door. They are where you begin, not where you are meant to stay.

The centre of it

Your community gets an address. One page, and a link that works for everybody.

Every community has a real web address of its own, elbethel.ce.place, that opens in any browser. No account to make first, nothing to install to have a look. That is the link you paste into the message you were already going to send.

On it: what's coming up, the groups inside it, who to talk to, and how to join. When you mark a community private it is listed nowhere; someone opening the link sees only enough to recognise it, and a way to ask to come in.

In plain words

There are only five words to learn.

Most apps make you memorise a vocabulary. This one has five words, and you already knew four of them before you opened it.

Community

Your church, your team, your family, your four friends. It gets a page on the web at name.ce.place and a link you can send to anyone.

Group

A smaller circle inside it: the Tuesday study, the youth, the worship team. A group can hold groups of its own, and a group inside a group is still just a Group. There is nothing else to learn.

Event

Anything with a time on it. A service, a weekly study, a one-off meal. They all sit on the same calendar.

Room

The video built into an online event. Free, with nothing to install. It opens an hour before the start, and a guest joins with just their name. Prefer your own Zoom or Google Meet? Connect it and the event uses that instead.

Series

A group's ongoing meeting space: one place that keeps the agenda, the notes, the decisions and the prayer list, so week six knows what happened in week one. You open a Series from the group's page.

“These stones shall be to the people of Israel a memorial forever.”

Twelve stones out of the riverbed, stacked on the far bank, so that children who were not born yet would ask what happened here. A Series is a small pile of stones: what was said, what was asked for, who turned up. Still there in week six, still there when the leader changes.

Who this is for

Not only churches.

A community is any group of people who want to keep faith together through the week. Some of them meet in a building on Sunday. Most of them don't.

One person with four friends

You have wanted to get a few people together. You never sent the message. Not because you didn't mean it, but because you weren't sure what you were offering. Where would it happen? What if only two came? What if somebody asked who was running it?

There is no title here and nothing to be appointed to. No permission to ask for, no building to find, no spreadsheet to keep. You name it, you put one evening on it, you paste the link into that draft, and you press send.

“For where two or three are gathered in my name, there am I among them.”

Two or three. Not a quorum, not a launch, not a critical mass. The smallest number the promise needed. If four people read this on a Wednesday evening, that is not a pilot for something bigger. That is the thing itself.

The family it belongs to

Christ Everywhere is the one you hand to a person.

It is built alongside other things. They are separate tools, made for different jobs in the same week, and you never need any of them to use the app.

Read this honestly: Christ Everywhere is the one that is finished and free and in your hand. The others are the family it belongs to, not features you are being sold. Start with the app; the rest is there if the day ever comes that you need it.

What it costs, and what it doesn't.

• The app is free. The whole Bible in 23 translations, the daily verse, the prayer wall, media and messages, yours from the moment you install it, with nothing to join first.

• Your community's page is free. Making one, sharing it, putting your calendar on it, and the Room inside your online events.

• You keep your own people. We don't sell anything to your members, and we don't rent your list to anyone.

• Private means private. A community you mark private isn't listed anywhere; someone who opens the link sees only enough to recognise it, and a way to ask to join. Each member chooses what the directory shows.
